Parmigiani Fleurier masterfully redefines quiet luxury with its latest Toric collection for men, and Tonda PF Automatic 36mm for ladies
Parmigiani Fleurier, the epitome of quiet luxury, flexes its horological muscles with the latest launches of the Toric collection and Tonda PF Automatic 36mm. Renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, the manufacture’s new releases highlight its dedication to blending innovation with timeless elegance.
One of the favourites at this year’s Watches and Wonders Geneva, the Toric collection is a minimalist’s dream come true. Comprising two Petite Seconde models and a Chronograph Rattrapante, the haute horlogerie line is a refined reinterpretation of masculine elegance, with each timepiece embodying a harmonious blend of aesthetic purity and technical prowess. The impossibly chic colour palette boasts shades of nature and is inspired by the chromatic universe of the master of purism, Le Corbusier.

Flaunting a rose gold case, the Sand Gold dial of the first 40.6mm Petite Seconde model—also rendered in rose gold—exudes an understated sophistication and contrasts against a hand-stitched nubuck alligator leather strap in Grey Celadon. Meanwhile, the second iteration offers a cool, ultra-modern aesthetic with its platinum case. Its dial features a striking Grey Celadon colour that perfectly complements the nubuck alligator leather in Sand Gold.
Visible through the sapphire caseback of both models is the stunning architecture of the two barrels and regulating organ of the manual-winding movement with small seconds, PF780. Crafted entirely in rose gold, it showcases the luxury maison’s dedication to horological excellence.

The Toric Chronograph Rattrapante is a testament to Parmigiani Fleurier’s mastery of complications. This 30-piece limited edition watch with a dial in Natural Umber features a rose gold case, which houses the calibre PF361 that incorporates a double column wheel. More complex and difficult to achieve than a tourbillon, this movement was developed in an integrated form for added flourish. Its tenth-of-a-second precision, coupled with the challenge of working with a malleable material like gold are details that devotees of the finest watchmaking will appreciate. The movement’s skeletonised structure allows one to admire its intricate components, while the elegantly proportioned 42.5mm case maintains the collection’s aesthetic integrity.
A standout feature of the watches from Toric collection is the meticulously grained texture on the dials. The unique effect is achieved through a traditional finishing technique involving a mixture of cream of tartar, crushed sea salt, and silver to create a matte finish that disperses light beautifully. Another discreet detail is the sartorial stitch on the alligator leather straps—typically employed by the best Neapolitan tailors as an aesthetic signature and to increase the comfort of wearing the suit.

Catering to women who value fine watchmaking with a contemporary, minimalist flair, Parmigiani Fleurier unveils the Tonda PF Automatic 36mm collection. This line boasts three exquisite references, each demonstrating the manufacture’s expertise in merging simplicity with opulence to craft timepieces that exude luxury and understated elegance in equal parts.
The first model is the most lavish, featuring a sumptuous rose gold case with a diamond-set bezel and dial in Sand Gold adorned with 12 baguette-cut diamonds. The intricate Grain d’Orge hand-guilloché dial adds a tactile element to the visual allure, making it incredibly hypnotic. The bracelet is uniquely accented with brilliant-cut diamonds of varying sizes along its outer edges, enhancing the watch’s fluidity and elegance.

The next reference in the collection flaunts a warm-grey hand-guilloché dial that contrasts beautifully against the rose gold case. This bold, darker hue accentuates the invisible-set baguette-cut diamond hour markers, which subtly enhance the brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel.
The third reference showcases a white citrine guilloché dial, and blends rose gold and steel for a sportier vibe. The bezel is knurled and crafted from rose gold, with threads of the same precious metal running through the bracelet’s inner mesh. The baguette-cut diamond hour markers add a touch of elegance, while the automatic movement ensures precision.
Beyond the exquisite finishing, all three watches are equipped with the calibre PF770, an automatic winding manufacture movement whose flawless Côtes de Genève decoration can be admired through an exhibition caseback.
