Housed in a 47mm brushed titanium case, it delivers outstanding strength, while remaining significantly lighter than stainless steel. The unidirectional bezel is also fashioned from titanium and fitted with a matte black ceramic insert made from zirconium oxide powder for high resistance against scratches and corrosive agents. Water resistant to 500 metres, the watch is powered by Panerai’s automatic P.9100/R calibre, which boasts five patents. These include a flyback chronograph, time-to-target countdown function, and vertical clutch for precise timekeeping during mission-critical moments. This sophisticated 332-component movement with an impressive three-day power reserve is a commanding expression of the Italian manufacture’s technical prowess.

Meanwhile, the Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech PAM01698 takes on a stealthier aesthetic with a case made entirely from Carbotech, Panerai’s proprietary carbon fibre composite. Known for its ultra-lightweight resilience and uneven, matte black surface, this high-performance material is produced by compressing carbon fibre sheets with a polymer under extreme heat and pressure. The case is accompanied by a Carbotech bezel and DLC-coated titanium caseback. Like the PAM01697, the PAM01698 shares the same green-grained dial with gradient finish, grey Super-LumiNova, Marina Militare signature, and P.900 movement, all backed by 300 metres of water resistance. Both watches are also engraved with the Aviazione Navale wings emblem on the caseback as a final salute to their aerial roots and Panerai’s enduring bond with Italy’s elite naval forces.
