Recently announced as Chopard's global ambassador, the Hollywood actress radiates joy in the first of 12 videos from Chopard’s Feel-Good campaign

As the woman behind one of the most famous smiles in the world, Julia Roberts effortlessly emanates joy, both on- and off-screen. It is no surprise then that since 2021, the Pretty Woman actress has been the face of Chopard’s Happy Sport and Happy Diamonds collections, and more recently become a global ambassador for the Swiss watch and jewellery brand.

In addition to being the muse and radiant face of Chopard’s joyful collections, Roberts shares another special bond with the brand—their common love and affinity for cinema. In celebration of this, Chopard has unveiled a new Chopard Loves Cinema campaign starring the American movie star.

The first of 12 videos in the campaign was aptly launched today, March 20, on the International Day of Happiness. Directed by American film director James Gray, the series of videos goes behind the scenes of a film set to capture Roberts in her most candid, playful and uninhibited moments. Along with the films, a new advertising campaign featuring visuals by photographer Alasdair McLellan has been released.

Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s co-president and artistic director sheds some light on the campaign: “After our Happy Diamonds campaign directed by Xavier Dolan in 2021, which featured a mesmerising and twirling Julia Roberts illustrating the pure, immediate and communicative happiness at the heart of Chopard’s spirit, this new series broadens the spectrum of the initial momentum. We are revealing a new facet of our identity, the Feel-Good vibe: the self-confidence instilled by Chopard jewellery or watches, reverberating in the air and infusing the entire surrounding universe with positive energy.”

In the spirit of these new Feel-Good films, below, Roberts answers some questions about what brings her the most joy.

What is your Feel-Good moment at the Cannes Film Festival?

Julia Roberts (JR): The first time I was there, running late and racing down the hallway. Somebody was still sewing me into my dress, so we were all running down the hallway to the elevator and somebody was sewing away. And I just thought “It’s so classic”. It was a “Cannes”-Do moment.

Your Feel-Good party?

JR: A Feel-Good party is my birthday party as my husband always organises some fun birthday parties for me.

Your Feel-Good movie?

JR: The Philadelphia Story starring Katharine Hepburn, James Stewart and Cary Grant.

Your Feel-Good value?
