After 7 years and 4 months, fans witness G-Dragon’s return along with a limited-edition Astronomia Solar G-Dragon watch.
After seven years and four months away, fans have once again witnessed G-Dragon’s return—this time making waves not only with his latest album but also with the unveiling of the limited-edition Astronomia Solar G-Dragon watch, a striking testament to his creative power.
G-Dragon’s comeback extends beyond music to mark the re-emergence of a true fashion icon. He has long been known for his collaborations with the biggest names in the industry, and his latest partnership with Jacob & Co. has resulted in a remarkable timepiece: the Astronomia Solar G-Dragon.
Jacob & Co. is a legend in the world of luxury. Founded in 1986 by Jacob Arabo, the house has, over the past 35 years, carved out a unique position with its daring designs and exclusive craftsmanship. It is renowned for its ability to source and work with the world’s rarest gemstones, all while embracing a philosophy of ‘limitless’ design, where haute horology meets contemporary art. This fusion of rare artistry and the ‘King of K-pop’ has led to an extraordinary collaboration.

With the reverberations of ‘Power’ still felt across the industry, the Astronomia Solar G-Dragon watch has added yet another layer of excitement to G-Dragon’s triumphant return. ‘During this collaboration, I realised that watchmaking demands exceptional precision and complexity. It is an honour to bring this vision to life,’ he shared. The timepiece serves as a personal gallery of his achievements, meticulously crafted in collaboration with Jacob & Co. to reflect his signature style in every detail.
The petalless chrysanthemum dial pays homage to Peaceminusone, G-Dragon’s brand and artistic philosophy, where imperfection is beauty and individuality is strength. Encircling the dial, multicoloured sapphires and Jacob-cut diamonds form a striking contrast. Shades of orange, pink, white, and green—personally selected by G-Dragon—merge with 288 signature Jacob & Co. diamonds to create an extraordinary brilliance. Completing the design, the caseback is engraved with the words ‘The World Is Mine’ and ‘Übermensch’—a bold statement tied to both his legacy and his latest album, encapsulating his philosophy of autonomy and artistic sovereignty.

When G-Dragon first met legendary jeweller Jacob Arabo, he presented him with a Peaceminusone daisy brooch—a symbol of his artistic ethos. Inspired by the gesture, Arabo reimagined it in a way only he could. The original brooch remains part of G-Dragon’s private collection, while a second version was crafted exclusively for auction. Created in 18K white gold, the piece features 9.31 carats of round brilliant-cut white diamonds, 1.94 carats of yellow sapphires, and 4.20 carats of round tsavorite, transforming it into not just a luxury jewel but a wearable work of art.

The return of a legend at his peak
After seven years and four months, G-Dragon has not only returned with ‘Power’ but has also made a striking impression, appearing with a trio of high-jewellery rings from Jacob & Co. Chief among them is a breathtaking blue Paraiba tourmaline ring, valued at an astonishing USD 6.4 million, which immediately became the centre of attention.
In the music video for ‘Power’, G-Dragon’s three Jacob & Co. rings—set with diamonds and rare gemstones—captivated fashion aficionados. Yet it was the Paraiba tourmaline ring that generated the most discussion, owing to both its extraordinary price and the rarity of its central stone.

Paraiba tourmaline is among the rarest varieties of tourmaline, identified by its copper-infused crystal structure. The higher the copper content, the more vivid its green hue. Of all variations, neon green—with its natural luminescent effect, as seen in G-Dragon’s ring—is considered the most precious. Finding a Paraiba tourmaline that is both sizeable and transparent, with such exceptional colour, is extraordinarily rare, elevating this ring beyond a luxury accessory to a true collector’s masterpiece.
