Take a look inside The Hour Glass' invite-only event where the Casquette 2.0 was unveiled for the first time in Kuala Lumpur
The specialist watch retailer transformed the lounge of its boutique at The Gardens Mall into a groovy '70s hangout complete with a full-sized claw machine to celebrate the revival of Girard-Perregaux's iconic watch which captured the zeitgeist of that psychedelic era.
The original Casquette, officially known as Ref. 9931, was a cult favourite produced in a limited run of 8,200 pieces from 1976 to 1978. It features a distinctive boxy case and LED display.
Now back and better than ever after 44 years, the Casquette 2.0 has returned with glory with a ceramic case and strap, accented with titanium on its pushers, caseback and protective badge. Powering the Casquette 2.0 is the Calibre GP03980, first seen in the Casquette Only Watch Edition in 2021.
The Hour Glass' select VIP guests—including actors Fadlan Hazim and Hisyam Hamid—were given the opportunity to get up close and personal with this retro timepiece available in a limited production of just 820 watches.
