Longines switches things up with a watchmaking workshop in its boutique at The Exchange TRX
Throughout July, Tatler GMT partnered with The Exchange TRX to celebrate the art of horology. The initiative saw collaborations with several of the mall’s watch boutiques, offering esteemed guests an exclusive first look at their novelties.
A standout activity from this initiative was an exclusive watchmaking masterclass conducted by Longines, where guests were given a rare opportunity to step into the shoes of a watchmaker. Longines' regional customer service manager Far East, Simon Wong flew in specially from Hong Kong to lead the hands-on session at its boutique in The Exchange TRX, guiding our guests through the delicate process of disassembling and reassembling a pocket watch movement. With tweezers and loupes in hand, participants gained a newfound appreciation for the patience, precision, and artistry required in watchmaking, a craft often admired from afar but seldom experienced up close.

Following the immersive workshop, guests were invited to discover Longines' latest timepieces, with the highlight being the debut of the Spirit Zulu Time 1925 in steel with a rose gold bezel. A tribute to Longines’ first dual-time zone wristwatch in 1925, the new release drew admiration from seasoned collectors and curious newcomers alike.
