Chanel looks to the vast expanse beyond Earth’s atmosphere for inspiration for its Interstellar collection
With both the Star Wars and Star Trek universes continuously expanding with no end in sight, our enduring fascination with outer space remains at a robust level. Arnaud Chastaingt, Chanel’s director of watchmaking, seems to share this sentiment when he unveiled a rather expansive capsule collection called Interstellar at Watches & Wonders 2023.
Consisting of J12 (which alone has 11 interpretations), Première, Boy•Friend, and Code Coco, the collection presents a series of timepieces inspired by science fiction, space, and time travel but with the emblematic Chanel touches and wit. The result is, dare we say, out of this world. Let’s discover them all now.
