Every year, the Cartier Privé collection pays homage to the Maison’s rich heritage by revisiting its most iconic designs. For its sixth chapter releasing this 2022, it’s time for the Tank Chinoise to get a creative remodel just as it celebrates its centennial anniversary. A tribute to Chinese savoir-faire, the new Tank Chinoise watch features an open-worked dial that reveals the skeleton movement of the watch, adorned with a red lacquer pattern inspired by the architecture of Chinese temples.

The Cartier Libre is perhaps Cartier’s boldest jewellery timepiece—blurring the line that sets watches and jewellery apart from each other. Entirely reversible and flexible, the Cartier Libre on the front is a watch with an incredible gem-set dial, but when turned on its back, it becomes hardly recognizable as a timepiece and instead takes on the appearance of a gorgeous bracelet with an intricate, triangular design motif.

The precious Panthère timepiece features a radiant satin dial and a graceful, ultra-flexible bracelet that echoes the captivating movement of the panther. With a jewel-set crown and the light playing on the silky dial to create iridescent gradations, Cartier’s quintessential jewellery watch is a celebration of sophistication and femininity.

A real stunner, the Coussin de Cartier watch is marked by its lush, padded square case, completely hemmed with diamonds, emeralds, tourmalines, tsavorites, or sapphires, all in varying diameters to accentuate a mesmerising spiral movement. Available in a range of bold colour combinations and formats, this bejewelled wristwatch also comes in a new shape and with a more supple case in two limited edition models.

Inspiring multiple interpretations with its vivid lines and uniquely-shaped dial, the Cartier Métiers d'Art strongly evokes the arresting presence of African wildlife. First engraved and then polished with champlevé enamelling, the stripes on the bezel are tinged with blue and green hues and lined with diamonds that contrast and shine, covering the entire watch and leaving the metal on the bezel bare.

Combining the mysterious movement of Cartier’s famed “mystery clocks” with the Maison’s watchmaking signature of turning the skeleton into a prime design element, the Masse Mystérieuse is quite the technical feat. As the hands float over the transparent case without being connected to any gears, the watch is a visual spectacle that appears and feels weightless on the wrist.
