Upgrade your adventure travel gear with Breitling Emergency II on hand

Breitling, as a recognised innovator in chronograph watchmaking, has upgraded its pioneering Emergency model to Emergency II, the first personal locator beacon with a dual-channel emergency satellite transmitter . It is a valuable tool in search and rescue missions as it can send distress signals through two frequencies, 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz, assuring a safer journey for a risk-taking adventurer.

An extraordinary piece of technology

What separates this technology from other personal beacons is its Cospas-Sarsat compliance – made not just to send out alerts but also assist in homing in the location for rescue operations. The Cospas-Sarsat system is based on a network of satellites in low-altitude earth orbit and in geostationary orbit made to receive accurate and reliable distress alerts to provide search and rescue professionals effective guidance. Since the system’s launch in 1985, this system has saved more than 26,000 lives. The watch comes with a charger-tester for optimal use. Users can recharge their watches and also test whether the transmitter is still in optimal condition.

It’s still a watch

The Breitling Emergency II is as fantastic a portable emergency beacon as it is a handsome luxury Swiss watch. In fact, the watch and transmitter are contained in the model as two separate and distinct units. It is equipped with a thermocompensated SuperQuartz™ movement, which is ten times more accurate than standard quartz watches. This is certified by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, the official Swiss chronometer testing centre.

For a man’s man

The Breitling Emergency II is designed to exude the perfect balance of ruggedness and sophistication, the perfect watch for the man’s man.  It has a satin-brushed bezel engraved with a compass scale accentuating its powerful, technical appeal. It comes with a choice of black, yellow or orange dials.
