Guests of Tatler Singapore discovered the colourful jewellery creations over a delightful afternoon tea at Pullman Singapore Hill Street
From fashion to art, gastronomy, design and more, collaborations continue to be all the rage. On a Wednesday afternoon, Tatler Singapore hosted some of our jewellery-loving friends over afternoon tea at Pullman Singapore Hill Street, to discover a new jewellery line born out of a special collaboration.
Krystal Prakaikaew Na-Ranong, owner of The Slate Phuket, unveiled a new limited-edition jewellery collection called Wild, in collaboration with renowned interior designer and architect, Bill Bensley, who also designed The Slate Phuket. The collection is a tribute to some endangered and disappearing animal species, with 30 per cent of proceeds going to the Shinta Mani Foundation to support wildlife protection.
Na-Ranong, who also has a jewellery brand called INIS, was in attendance to share about the collection with guests, and brought a few prototypes of the jewellery with her. She showcased the first designs of what is still a developing collection—a series of Milagros or “Tiger” butterfly clips in various shapes and sizes. Made in aluminium, these butterflies can be customised in different colours and set with different stones according to the client’s wishes.

“Bill Bensley is a dear friend and has inspired me with his love of nature and conservation to work on a jewellery collection that can help protect endangered species,” said Na-Ranong. “With our hotel surrounded by national park and pristine beaches, we are acutely aware of our role to preserve our precious environment and ensure that future generations can still experience the wondrous wildlife of our planet.”
Perfect for gifting and the upcoming holiday season, these bespoke Milagros butterfly creations can be ordered now and completed in time for Christmas, by emailing wijitta@theslatephuket.com, and will soon be available to purchase on The Slate Phuket website. Future additions to the Wild collection will also feature other animal species under threat to create awareness and support wildlife conservation.
