Celebrated art pieces by the Expressionist artist is translated into whimsical statement jewellery in this new collaboration

The increasingly popular collaborations between artists and jewellers see precious gems meticulously reworked as wearable art, as seen in collections like Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei’s.
Whether you are a hopeless romantic in search for a unique Valentine’s Day gift, or a collector of rare jewellery pieces, the “I Promise to Love You” series by British artist Tracey Emin and jeweller Stephen Webster is something worth investing in.

Tracey Emin's famous neon sign artwork
The 18K gold pieces reference the artist’s most iconic works. While her renowned neon signs are transformed into bracelets necklaces and ear cuffs, traces of her woodland creatures can be found fashioned into delicate gold charms or tiny pendants.
Having been friends for decades, the idea of this collaboration sparked when Emin pointed out that artistic duo have known each other for nearly 40 years at Webster’s 56th birthday.
Representing both of their worlds, the collaboration reflects Emin’s mischievous charm and playful spirit while staying true to the meticulous designs of the jeweller.

“I love the way Stephen has interpreted my work. The fact that the jewellery has remained classical impresses me. It is also delicate and intricate. Looks so much like me. But very much Stephen,” says Tracey Emin.
