The exclusive event was held in the homegrown jewellery brand’s flagship boutique at Paragon Shopping Centre

Last Friday evening, Tatler Singapore and Vihari Jewels hosted a private event for Tatler friends and jewellery lovers to discover the local jewellery brand’s many exquisite creations. Founded by Vihari Poddar in 2006, Vihari Jewels offers a wide range of jewellery from fun, nature-inspired designs like butterfly and dragonfly rings to more classic pieces featuring incredible, rare gems. A highlight of the evening was a selection of vintage jewellery presented in three themes: 1960s New York, 1990s Dubai and 1980s Singapore.

Coming from a family with a rich history in gems, Poddar prides herself on creating heirloom worthy, investment jewellery by using only the highest quality precious stones that have been expertly cut and set. While she personally walked guests through the boutique, Poddar’s family was also present to support her—including her father, Rajesh Sheth, the founder of diamond company House of Gems.

Poddar and her team spent some one-on-one time with each guest to find out their jewellery preferences and better recommend designs that would suit them. Even Manisha Sheth, Poddar’s mother, lent a hand in picking out pieces for the ladies present.

Throughout the evening, guests were treated to light bites, bubbles and wine as they mingled and tried on the jewels, while also being entertained by the rich, jazzy tunes of award winning flutist, Rit Xu, who performed live.
