Everything you need to know about Kaimirra Tutan and its new boutique at Mid Valley Megamall

Kaimirra Tutan makes its grand debut in Malaysia, launching its first jewellery boutique in Mid Valley, Megamall. The jewellery brand sets itself apart by leading the way in ammolite jewellery—one of the first, if not the only, establishments to focus on the ancient gemstone.

Kaimirra Tutan’s name itself translates to ‘an appreciation for finer things’ in ancient Egyptian, which speaks to its dedication to the rich history of the gemstone. First formed 71 million years ago from fossilised shells, the ammonite gemstone has been held in high regard throughout history as sacred talismans and highly-coveted objects of desire.

“We’ve partnered with Korite, the largest commercial producer of ammolite in the world, to sustainably and ethically source natural ammolite gems for our pieces,” says Kaimirra Tutan's managing director Damien Foo.

Sourced from the mines in the Bearpaw Formation that stretches from Alberta to Saskatchewan in Canada, only a small percentage of ammolite gemstones meet Kaimirra Tutan’s high standards to be turned into jewellery.

For more than a decade, it has toiled tirelessly to obtain the extremely rare and valuable ammolite gemstones, ascertaining their worth and quality before incorporating them into elaborate, intricate designs.

"This year sees us finally able to showcase those offerings—in the form of refined lifestyle pieces—to our clientele."

And the wait was definitely worth it.

Kaimirra Tutan presents incredibly tasteful jewellery collections for every occasion, each featuring the iridescent gemstone. Its most extraordinary, eye-catching statement pieces are housed in their couture collections: Horus and Yillina. A magnificent showcase of ambitious imagination and meticulous craftsmanship, these couture creations are an invaluable addition to any jewellery collection.

It's worth noting that every ammolite gemstone is different, and this means no two jewellery pieces are ever alike, making every piece one-of-a-kind.

The Atiya and Giza fine jewellery collections with minimalist, elegant design are more suited for everyday wear. The latter is noteworthy for its abstract reinterpretations of the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of The Ancient World, with A Grade ammolite pendants framed in gold and diamonds.
