Sensational Hong Kong boy band Mirror participated in Samsung’s product launch event for the latest foldable phone models—Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, as well as other new wearable devices including Galaxy Watch4 Series and Galaxy Buds2. The wait is over. Samsung’s highly anticipated new foldable phone models—Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G—are finally available to order in Hong Kong, just two weeks after the tech giant announced an exciting new range of products at its latest online Galaxy Unpacked event. To celebrate the launch, Samsung has forged a new partnership with rising Canto-pop boy band Mirror, making the group the official brand ambassador to promote its latest products and write the next chapter of smartphone innovation.

At its most recent event at Harbour City on August 26th, Samsung unveiled an exciting new range of additions to the ever-growing Galaxy family, including the foldable phones and wearable devices—Galaxy Watch4, Watch4 Classic smartwatches, as well as Galaxy Buds2 earphones. Mirror made a special appearance during the event, with all the 12 members (including Frankie Chan, Alton Wong, Lokman Yeung, Stanley Yau, Anson Kong, Jer Lau, Ian Chan, Anson Lo, Jeremy Lee, Edan Lui, Keung To and Tiger Yau) sporting Thom Browne suits and Christian Louboutin shoes, stealing our attention with their stylish looks.

The members were impressed by the cool features of the new foldable phones, where Lokman and Anson Kong, Mirror’s leader and sub-leader are particularly fond of the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. “Not only is the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G equipped with smartphone features, but it is also similar to a tablet that conveniently fits into your pockets,” they said. “Wherever we are, whether it is conducting live streams or taking photos and uploading them to social media, we only need to prop the foldable smartphone on the table. It’s easy to operate and the quality is excellent!” Frankie and Anson Lo also expressed their liking for Galaxy Z Flip3 5G's stylish design and convenient cover screen selfie function.

In addition to introducing the new products and sharing their mobile experiences during the conference, Mirror also performed their songs including Ignited and Boss at night.

Both Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G are equipped with IPX8 water-resistant rating and the Armor Aluminum frame—the strongest aluminium ever used on a Galaxy smartphone. The two models also come with cover displays featuring Corning® Gorilla® Glass that ensures better protection. The devices can easily be transformed into a hands-free camera, allowing users to take pictures with Duo Preview on the rear camera while displaying a preview of the shot on the cover screen.

The new models are up for pre-order now at Samsung's online shop and will be available for sale to the public on September 10.

New UX and multi-tasking elements
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G has an improved interface and enhanced Taskbar of apps that can be pinned on the side to offer a convenient, tablet-like interface on the model’s updated Multi-Active Window. Users will be able to open up to three apps simultaneously for different tasks, and dragging and dropping content between different windows.
S Pen
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is the first foldable phone to support the S Pen, where users can write notes, edit pictures and take screenshots easily with the precision the tool brings.
Under-Display Camera
With the camera hidden under the screen, users will be able to make full use of the 7.6-inch foldable display and no longer be disrupted by the lens at the front when watching full-screen videos and playing mobile games. The foldable display also features Eco display technology to increase brightness by 29% while consuming less energy.
120Hz High Refresh Rate
Both the cover and main screen of the device supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Whether it’s playing games, doing online shopping or casually browsing social media, users can control the display content smoothly.

Galaxy Z Fold3 5G will be offered in two storage options: 12GB RAM + 512GB ROM (HK$15,398) and 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM (HK$14,598). Customers can choose from different colours, including Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver (only available at Samsung's online shop).

Light and Compact Design
The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G features a sleek, compact design equipped with a large, foldable screen that guarantees an exceptional user experience. Stylish and easy to carry, the new device is offered in a range of gorgeous colours, including Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender. Users can also style their phones with accessories and covers with rings and straps to express their personalities.
Upgraded cover screen
The device boasts a 1.9-inch cover screen that’s four times larger than the previous generation. The touch screen is able to display notifications and allows users to check messages and calls without opening the main screen.
New selfie, social and entertainment features
Thanks to the avant-garde foldable display, the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G can easily be transformed into a hands-free camera, where users can capture photos and videos with the 10-megapixel front camera or 12-megapixel dual rear camera on their own for selfies or large group photos.
The device also features an upgraded surround sound Stereo Speaker with Dolby Atmos that offers users incredible clarity, depth and spatial effects when watching movies or listening to music. Just like the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, its main screen also comes with 120Hz adaptive fresh rate for smoother control and display.

Galaxy Z Flip3 5G includes storage of 8GB + 256GB ROM and is offered in five colour options, including Cream, Phantom, Black, Green and Lavender.

Both Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic smartwatches are equipped with the new 3-in-1 BioActive sensor where users can utilise fuctions including Optical Heart Rate, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis to monitor blood pressure, detect irregular heartbeats and measure oxygen levels. New body fat analysis and sleep analysis features have also been added to the Galaxy Watch series to help users better achieve their health goals.

That’s not all, users will be to connect their smartwatches with other Galaxy devices and connect it with third-party apps directly from Google Play, such as Youtube Music and Spotify for an elevated entertainment experience. Featuring a fashionable design with stainless-steel material, the Galaxy Watch4 series is also waterproof and dust resistant, making it perfect for sports enthusiasts.

Galaxy Watch4 comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes at a starting price from HK$2,098, while Watch4 Classic is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes at a starting price from HK$2,898. The smartwatches are up for pre-order now at Samsung's online shop and will be available for sale to the public on September 10.

Galaxy Buds2 earphones

The new generation of Galaxy Buds2 is specially designed with a strong focus on comfort and fit. It has a smaller size and weight of only 5 grams that are perfect for wearing and carrying around all day. Equipped with Active Noise Cancellation, the new earbuds also promise to reduce external noise up to 98%.

Three adjustable ambient sound levels are also offered for flexible adjustments according to different environments. It can even be connected to multiple Galaxy devices, including smartphones, tablets or smartwatches at the same time, meaning users can enjoy maximum flexibility and switch between being on calls, listening to music or watching videos easily.

Galaxy Buds2 are available in four colour options including Graphite, Lavender, Olive and White, priced at HK$1,298. The earbuds are up for pre-order now at Samsung's online shop and will be available for sale to the public on September 10.
