Safety is always a priority at Lexus, and the LC500 is endowed with a suite of advanced safety systems via the Lexus Safety System + to mitigate untoward incidents on the open road.

This includes the pre-collision system, the lane departure alert with lane keep assist, and the dynamic radar cruise control, not to mention six airbags with a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

Being a convertible, there are additional safety features specific to its class, chief of which is the active roll bars that extend upwards when a rollover is detected. When not deployed, the roll bars are hidden from view to retain its neat silhouette.

Much thought has also gone into the compact soft top design to ensure it is seamless with the rest of the car's sleek silhouette. When you're out on the open road, take in the scenery by lowering the hydraulic-operated roof that unfolds smoothly in 15 seconds. Should it start to rain, the roof will close and shield you from the dreary weather in just 16 seconds.
