Let’s kick off with the most highly-anticipated and talked about product in Apple’s new lineup: the iPhone 14.

Last night, Apple debuted the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

To start off, we have the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus which feature two sizes: 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. The phone itself features a sophisticated design with impressive camera upgrades as well as brand new safety capabilities.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature new main and front Truedepth cameras, an ultra-wide camera and Photonic Engine, which is an enhanced image pipeline.

The models come with an A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU as well so you can rest assured that the phone will be able to keep up with your multitasking.

One of the most significant upgrades to the iPhone is its safety features which are more important than ever. All the new iPhones will see a new emergency messaging feature called Emergency SOS which can connect to communication satellites when users are unable to connect to a cell signal. This will allow users to send messages in under 15 seconds when under a clear view of the sky.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus will be available in midnight, blue, starlight, purple, and (Product)Red.

2. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

Next up, we have the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which Apple CEO Tim Cook dubbed as the “most innovative pro lineup yet.”

The iPhone 14 Pro features a 6.1-inch screen while the 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen.

The Pro line also uses Apple’s A16 Bionic chip which mixes power with one billion transistors and features two performance cores and four efficiency cores. Certainly a massive upgrade from the basic iPhone 14 models.

As expected, the Pro line also comes with major camera updates. Here, Apple introduced an all-new 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.78 aperture and 24mm focal length.

The camera also supplies a 49 per cent increase in low-light image quality and videos will be available in 4K resolution with up to 40 frames per second in Cinematic mode.

One of the most significant additions to the Pro Line though is the inclusion of Dynamic Island which is set to change the way we interact with the iPhone. Dynamic Island adapts in real-time to show essential alerts, notifications, and activities.

With the software, the Truedepth camera has been redesigned to take up less of the display area. This means that it is easier for users to access controls as well as to carry on with background activities such as music or maps.

Both devices will come in four colours: deep purple, silver, gold and space black.

Users will be able to enjoy more expansive wallpaper options, enhanced messaging capabilities and photo sharing, and improved Live Text performance.

iOS 16 will also offer Apple’s new Emergency SOS system which will be available on the iPhone 14.

You can download the update if you have an iPhone 8 onwards.

And now, on to the well-loved Apple Watch. Last night, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 8, a new generation of the Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Ultra.

The Apple Watch Series 8 continues to carry the classic Apple Watch design as well as a large, always-on retina display and a crack-resistant crystal scene.

The watch is able to supply 18 hours of battery life as well as a host of new and improved health features.

The Series 8 comes with advanced motion sensors that are capable of providing more accurate health data as well as comprehensive fall and crash detection. The watch can detect if a user has been in a car crash and will automatically connect its wearer to emergency services and notify emergency contacts.

The Series 8 also has new sensors that will track blood oxygen levels as well as irregular pulse rhythms. The watch also has enhanced sleep tracking that will give users better insight into their sleeping habits.

The watch is also dust-proof, swim-proof and crack resistant.

Speaking of upgrades to the Apple Watch, fans were in for a treat last night when Apple introduced a new flagship model called the Apple Watch Ultra which has been designed for the adventurous but tech-forward user.

Featuring durable and resistant materials for harsher environmental conditions, the Ultra boasts a protective 49 mm aerospace-grade titanium case as well as a new orange Action button which can be customised to give users access to various controls and features on the watch.

Unlike its siblings, the Ultra is big on sound and has three microphones located at different points on the watch. These microphones reduce background noise for phone calls on the go.

The Ultra also comes with a highly accurate GPS system as well as cellular data.

We finally have the next generation of Apple’s famous AirPods Pro—and it is exceptional.

With high-bandwidth connectivity, a low-distortion audio driver, spatial audio that can be personalised and a custom amplifier, you can expect sound quality like never before.

The new AirPods Pro also has a new active noise cancelling configuration with advanced computation audio on the H2 chip. This means that you can rely on it to cancel up to double the amount of noise. An all-new adaptive transparency feature also works to reduce harsh environmental noise.

With six hours of listening time in just a single charge, this is a significant increase from its predecessor. The charging case also now allows for 30 hours of listening time which is an increase of six hours from the previous model.
