Mercedes-Benz officially introduced its latest S-Class limousine the S580e plug-in hybrid in Malaysia. The seventh-generation sedan is assembled locally and represents the very best the Stuttgart automaker has to offer.
1. Bigger, sleeker and more commanding
There is always this pressure to make every subsequent model better. This time around, Mercedes-Benz has knocked it out of the park with the new S-Class. Though it is slightly larger than its predecessor, the new S580e is actually lighter by up to 60kg due to the use of aluminium in its structure.
It also appears sleeker with new lines and trapezoid headlamps that house LED daytime running lights. The car has this a great visual presence thanks to its much larger grille. On the rear, the two triangular tail lights are connected by a piece of chrome trim, giving it a more streamlined appearance.
