What wonderfully wacky vision of the future will Jonathan Anderson have in store for us this season?
As Fashion Week keeps calm and carries on, Loewe is set to present its fall/winter 2022 collection in Paris on March 4. Much like its men’s fall/winter 2022 show in January, the womenswear show invite came in a silver cylinder stamped with the Loewe anagram, and contained a single sheet of Latex bearing the show details. Of course, the tactile invitation immediately conjured up slinky, skin tight associations on one end of the spectrum, and stretched out, contorted sculptural pieces on the other. If past collections are anything to go by, the stretchable material may just become one of the hottest trends of the season in Anderson’s deft hands.
