Venice Film Festival 2022: 9 of the Most Daring Celebrity Looks

Venice Film Festival 2022 was an evening of skin-baring and cutaway ensembles with a dash of glitz and glam

The 79th Venice International Film Festival's red carpet was dazzling with stars in head-turning pieces, signifying that the annual film affair is truly a landmark for artistry, be it in fashion or film. Swarming with changemakers and brilliant actors and actresses, the film festival has seen some of the most daring looks of the year.

1. Florence Pugh

Amidst the rumours surrounding Florence Pugh and Don't Worry Darling, the actress arrived in a Valentino black glitter tulle dress teamed with Tiffany and Co jewellery. Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, the look was an ode to her character in the film, Alice.

Bones and All actor Timothee Chalamet is not one to shy away from experimental style. Once again, all eyes were on Chalamet as he graced the carpet in an Alexander McQueen pantsuit—consisting of a revealing bright red halterneck and pants—with heeled black boots.

After showing up in a regal gown by Elie Saab merely a few days ago, Tessa Thompson arrived in a more daring ensemble. Duo Wayman and Micah dressed the actress in a hooded net number from Interior and jewellery from Pomellato.

Camila Mendes stole the Bones and All premiere wearing a breathtaking Spring 2017 Giorgio Armani couture dress with a plunging neckline and gorgeous shoulder details. Styled by Molly Dickson, Mendes wore the dress with Messika diamond earrings and a ring.

5. Jodie Turner-Smith

There is nothing Jodie Turner-Smith can't wear. After showing up in an eye-catching Christopher John Rogers maxi dress, the actress then donned another memorable ensemble—a Balmain light-wash denim gown with boning detail—at the Bones and All premier.

Sadie Sink showed some skin in a beautiful Alexander McQueen powder blue tulle strapless dress which is designed with a cutaway waist and crystal harness embroidery. The Whale actress' hairstylist styled her in stunning mermaid curls.

Actress Greta Ferro attended the opening of the Venice Film Festival in Giorgio Armani. The gown had a mesh top with beading details covering her chest and a velvet skirt. During the screening of Bones and All, she flaunted her figure in another sultry cutaway dress from the fashion house.

While Phoebe Waller-Bridge wore a two-piece yellow suit to the premier of The Banshees Of Inisherin, the award-winning actress went braless under the sheer top with crystal strip embellishments. The ensemble is from Galvan London's Resort 2023 Collection.

9. Julianne Moore

For the opening night, Julianne Moore donned a sparkling Valentino gown at the premiere of White Noise. The chandelier earrings, bracelets, and rings from Cartier complemented the sheer cape gown which was designed with colourful details reminiscent of fireworks.
