Inspired by iconic princesses Cinderella, Snow White and Belle, Cantonese pop singer Hins Cheung and couture designer Kev Yiu partner with Disney for Yiu’s latest bridalwear collection

If ever there was an occasion to dress like a princess, it would be at your own wedding.

Sennet Frères’s latest collection in collaboration with Disney Princess, which debuted on Tuesday evening, is one of joy and whimsy. The designer highlights all the royal characters we grew up with and uses their distinguishable outfit traits to fashion a 28-piece collection.

The show was hosted at Hins Cheung’s property Alberose in Pokfulam, which had a stunning collection of antique décor and vintage trinkets on display, including a bottle of Chanel No 5 perfume from the 1940s—a sample of which was blended to create a custom fragrance that wafted through the rooms and set the tone for an evening of abundance.

Outside in the garden, models glided down a runway that twisted around guests’ benches. An orchestral soundtrack of Disney songs alluded which princess inspired which dress, while emblems like roses and apples were ample signifiers.

The first half of the show consisted of traditional white bridal gowns and included the likes of strapless satin dresses and heavily embellished bodices with voluminous tulle skirts. The second portion featured more colourful versions of the same princess, but with richer fabrics like velvet and ever more sparkling embroidery. “Cinderella” pulled a 12-foot train of blue tulle behind her, and the show closed with a stunning long-sleeved crystallised dress à la Elsa.
