Here’s a rundown on the best of style this October 2024
Style came in full force this October, offering an exciting array of fashion highlights. We had the opportunity to explore new collections, attend exclusive previews and mingle with some of our favourite recurring faces in the Tatler sphere. This month, the spotlight shone on BYS Fashion Week, an annual four-day celebration of both emerging and established designers. Adding to the excitement, Ami Paris made its much-anticipated debut in the Filipino market, introducing fresh picks of contemporary French design.

Roger Vivier transformed its Greenbelt 3 location into a geometric spectacle, reflecting the vision behind the Maison’s newest campaign, Vivier Op-Tical. Based on Op art, an art movement popularised in the Sixties, the collection is all about playing with shapes and contrasting colours—an expansion of the founder's bold archival designs from the brand’s early days. This can be seen in shoes decked out in from colour-blocked patent leather, black-and-white motifs, and graphic tweed.
BYS Fashion Week
BYS Fashion Week took over the weekend of October 10 to 13, setting the spotlight on both emerging and established fashion designers. This year’s lineup included 10 designers of varying aesthetics and proclivities, coming together to celebrate the best of Filipino contemporary fashion. Among them, Rajo Laurel brought the house down with RAJOMAN, his first all-menswear collection, while Martin Bautista debuted his first-ever solo runway show.

Ami Paris opened its first boutique in the Philippines at Rockwell Center. The new store showcases the House’s newly refreshed concept, reflecting the brand’s core values of intimacy, timelessness, and romance.
Dior Beauty introduces the Dior Prestige La Micro-Huile de Rose serum
Dior Beauty introduced the Dior Prestige La Micro-Huile de Rose serum to the Philippines, emphasising their commitment to distributing high-performing luxury skincare. The serum rejuventaes and restores the skin’s natural glow thanks to its key ingredients: the essence of Granville Rose. It targets fine lines, wrinkles and dullness, resulting in deep hydration and a radiant complexion.
The Penthouse Suite of the Astor BGC turned into an English rose garden, as guests lined up to sample the Maison’s innovative product.
Chanel Beauty and Fragrances opens its first store in the Philippines
The first Chanel Beauty and Fragrances store in the Philippines has officially opened at Greenbelt. The House’s signature modern elegance takes centre stage in this luxurious boutique, offering exclusive experiences that can only be found there. This includes the entire range of Chanel 31 Le Rouge lipsticks, Les Exclusifs de Chanel fragrances, as well as personalised beauty treatments.
Likhang Habi celebrates its 14th year
Likhang Habi Fair celebrates its 14th year, highlighting the works of Filipino artisans and celebrating a blend of heritage, artistry, and cultural preservation. This year’s theme “Earth to Loom” emphasises the concept of Philippine textiles through natural dyes, an effort to explore the potential of traditional practices in modern sustainability solutions.
The fair is due to take place at Glorietta Activity Center, which will be home to 100 booths from artisans across the country.

Fauré Le Page introduces The French Garden collection
Fauré Le Page introduces a new colourway for its iconic scale canvas: an army green inspired by military camouflage. This new hue is a nod to the luxury house’s origins as an 18th-century gunsmith, offering a modern twist on its original design codes. This chameleon-like material is featured in models such as the Daily Battle tote and the Pochette 19.
