New York Fashion Week has kicked off with its showcase of designers’ fall/winter 2023 collections. Rodarte delivered a strong opening show that’s centred on gothic fantasy and will definitely captivate Wednesday fans. While Rodarte looked to fairies, Prabal Gurung was inspired by butterflies; the fluttering insect’s shapes and patterns were seen across Gurung’s glamourous collection of evening dresses. There’s still more to come this season: CFDA chairman Thom Browne is returning to the NYFW schedule, following his presentation in Paris, and you can also expect shows from fashion brands like Coach, Proenza Schouler, Khaite, Anna Sui and more.
