Michael Cinco launches his first ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week
"My collection in New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is the launching of my Michael Cinco Pret-a-Porter Collection Spring-Summer 2023," says Michael Cinco, Dubai-based Filipino designer renowned for his couture gowns.
The designer has dressed Hollywood's biggest stars including Beyonce and Rihanna, as well as heiress Victoria Swarovski, and has been named Fashion Designer of the Year in 2021.
This year, however, Cinco is ready to add another feather in his cap by debuting his first-ever ready-to-wear line.

"[The collection] is called the Impalpable Dream of Monet," continues the designer. "I was inspired by the colours and hues of the paintings of Monet’s impressionism that mostly focus on textures, light, and brushstrokes in dreamy gardens and flowers. It’s all about ultra-feminine women who are strong and independent but still elegant and ethereal."

"The collection is different from my previous shows because this will be the first time for me to launch my own ready-to-wear line. The collection is more on daily wear and suits and more affordable for women to buy," he continues.
"This is actually one of the difficult challenges for me in preparing the collection because I was informed on the first week of August by the producer of Art Hearts Fashion and one of my friends LA-based designer Alexis Monsanto that I’ll be part of NYFW in September while I was on a holiday in Switzerland. So, I only had three to four weeks to make the collection," he recalls.

Cinco continues, "Luckily, I have already created samples for my pret-a-porter collection so I just needed to add some Michael Cinco signature beaded evening gowns and ballgowns for the show. I worked better under pressure and was very lucky to finish and showcase 37 pieces for the show in three weeks with the help of my super talented skilled team and artisans."

"The finale couture black ballgown with full multi-coloured beadworks and crystal works. This usually takes 5,000 hours to finish," relates the designer.
But with Cinco's mastery and dedication—an instilled quality that the designer always had that skyrocketed him to fame—the Filipino designer finished the pieces in four days, right before his flight to New York.

Cinco's fabulous ready-to-wear creations dazzled on the runway and will soon be available on an online store which will be launched this November.
