Two homegrown brands, Batik Boutique and Projek 57, introduce a batik design dedicated to the first Prime Minister of Malaysia

In this collaboration, Batik Boutique and Projek57 have released a DIY batik painting kit featuring the instantly-recognisable silhouette of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia's first prime minister. It can be a fun bonding activity for family and friends during Merdeka weekend and a great way to open meaningful conversations about the significance of this historical figure, who famously said, "Our future depends on how well many different kinds of people can live and work together."

It is a quote that inspires positivity and optimism, especially as we watch the Malaysian community continue to support each other and put up a united front during the pandemic.
