The works of Singaporean artists, including Gen.T honouree Dawn Ang, adorn the elegant space
Louis Vuitton’s first exclusive women’s store is now open for business in Orchard Road. The French luxury brand has revamped its former store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre in Ngee Ann City, transforming it into a space that’s solely dedicated to womenswear.
In the store, customers will find a curated selection of ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, accessories, fragrances, and watches and jewellery. In the bag department, this includes a stunning display of the brand’s signature monogram trunks and its exotic skin handbags. There are also pieces from Louis Vuitton women’s fall-winter 2023 collection, which are available for Singapore shoppers to order now—even before the collection is launched in Asia.

If the store’s interiors look familiar, that’s because it takes cues from the design concept that was introduced in Louis Vuitton’s Ginza Namiki-dori store in Tokyo. The store in Singapore is elegantly furnished with Serpeggiante stone flooring and golden metal touches. It’s also decorated with pieces from Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades furniture line as well as impressive art installations. The latter includes Japanese artist Nami Sawada’s suspended metallic artwork at the entrance, and the hand-carved plaster mural from French artist Martin Berger that serve as the backdrop of the watches and jewellery section.
Louis Vuitton has also paid homage to Singaporean culture by tapping on three local artists to create artworks for its refreshed store: Gen.T honouree Dawn Ang (also known as Aeropalmics); Jamie Tan, and Bianca Kremer. Ang’s colourful piece, Meadows, is inspired by “women and nature”, says the artist.
