What happens when French heritage meets surf culture? In its Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Longchamp presents a new wave of effortless style; blending the freedom of the sea with modern Parisian character. And the limited-edition Le Pliage Re-Play line reinforces this season's character.

This summer, Longchamp invites us to imagine a Parisienne stepping away from the hustle and bustle of the city, seeking sea air and open horizons. Making room for spontaneity, chasing the sun before it sets.

The collection's primary inspiration is the surfer's art of living. It's not just a sport, but a way of looking at the day with more ease and confidence. Silhouettes are more fluid, and cuts feel airy without losing structure. Pop and pastel colors appear in gradients reminiscent of a sunset sky, while wave and surfboard motifs add a fresh graphic touch.

The wave motif appears in various interpretations: embroidered on washed denim jackets, printed on long dresses, and graphic details that update classic pieces. Even Longchamp's iconic horse takes on a more dynamic appearance with the emblem that reads "Catch the Parisian Wave."

The materials also speak volumes. Tweed, knit, and cotton are presented in a fresh palette, while colorful madras adds a spontaneous, summery touch. The ready-to-wear collection feels effortless: a wide-striped polo for daytime, a lace blouse for breezy evenings, or bloomer shorts reminiscent of '70s beach style with a contemporary twist.

In the accessories line, the surf culture character is even more pronounced. Bags from the Re-Play line are designed to be multifunctional, practical without being utilitarian . The Épure model is worn as a small pendant, just enough to hold essentials; a clever detail that feels personal. There are also options made from woven raffia and macramé, which enhance the natural feel.

One highlight is the raffia-wrapped Le Roseau, handcrafted by artisans from the NGO Anaka in Madagascar. Maple bamboo details and natural leather straps create an earthy, organic feel. The Le Panier Pliage comes in a beach mat-inspired colorway, while the cotton canvas Le Roseau offers a more casual yet curated look.

This collection also pays attention to the post-beach moment. Lambskin mules with bamboo details, woven straw hats, and wave-patterned dresses evoke the transition from beach to city. This is Longchamp's key strength this season: a natural-feeling flexibility.

According to Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp's Artistic Director, the collection aims to capture the balance between freedom and confident femininity.

The Spring/Summer 2026 collection showcases a bold play with color, a bolder approach to movement, and a bold embrace of spontaneity. Like the ever-changing tide, styles are always changing. But the women who wear them remain at the center of the story, ready to embrace summer in their own way.
