These local unisex brands help redefine what it means to be stylish today.

It’s a commonly acknowledged fact that fashion’s main objective lies in self-expression. Clothing liberates, and finding your own personal style is a reflection of self-assurance. The rising popularity of gender-neutral clothing brands is just proof of that.

We may prefer certain silhouettes that are more feminine or masculine, but for these unisex brands, gender bias is an afterthought. Instead, they focus on quality clothing that embraces individuality and celebrates the freedom of feeling comfortable in one’s own skin.

We’ve rounded up several local clothing brands with unisex designs:

Proudrace

Streetwear brand Proudrace specialises in one-of-a-kind pieces made from deadstock fabrics. Its concept is rooted in the local underground scene. The brand experiments with oversized proportions and deconstructed assemblage, resulting in an offbeat and unapologetically Filipino aesthetic.

Suot

Suot proudly produces free-size and unisex clothing, recognised by contrasting shapes. The brand also prioritises sustainability, with certain items handmade using fabric scraps to create something new and just as sentimental.

Sports Paradise

As its name implies, Sports Paradise merges tropical living with athleticwear, a response to the Filipinos’ endless fascination with sports. Their shorts are made of deadstock fabric with inclusive sizing in mind and are released in limited drops.
