A baby blue knit top is not the easiest garment to pull off but what Hamilton has proven time and time again is that he is a master of texture. At the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco last May 2024, the racing driver arrived at the paddock in this eye-catching Dior sweater and off-white trousers. He topped off the look with a pair of white-rimmed sunglasses and a chain necklace.

As a fashion enthusiast, Hamilton gravitates towards brands like Rick Owens, Prada and Louis Vuitton, often incorporating an edgy twist. For his appearance at the F1 Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna, he donned an eccentric black shoulder-padded blazer with flared trousers. The jumpsuit had a plunging neckline that showed off his tattoos.

Hamilton is known for turning simple garments on their head, giving new meaning to something as seemingly simple as a neutral shirt-and-pants combo. Here, he is seen wearing an all-tan ensemble from Zegna, complete with a double-string of pearls and Kenzo lace-up boots.

The recently-appointed co-chair of the 2025 Met Gala arrived at last year’s iteration Hamilton in a head-to-toe custom Burberry look that honoured his Afro-British heritage. He wore a black floral-embroidered wool coat over a double-breasted suit. The coat featured a quote from Alex Wharton’s “The Gardener” and was inspired by the story of John Ystumllyn, one of Britain’s first Black gardeners.

In this look, Hamilton subverts the expectation that men can’t pull off sparkles. He is known to show up in loud patterns and rather interesting textures. Take for instance this flashy sequined boiler suit by Rick Owens, paired with the driver’s signature dark shades and a pair of Rick Owens x Dr Martens boots.
