KLFW 2024 is set to ignite the city’s fashion scene with its most dazzling and unforgettable showcase yet—here’s a full rundown of what’s coming
It’s that time of the year again! The much-anticipated Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) is back for its 12th edition, and this year’s instalment is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Kicking off on July 29 to August 4, a lineup of over 50 homegrown designers is set to unveil their latest ready-to-wear collections against the backdrop of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.
Hosted in partnership with Suria KLCC and KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, the week-long affair will be held in a custom-built structure stretching across 12,000 square feet at the Esplanade, KLCC Park, housing the main show hall, runways, and various activation spaces, accommodating up to 500 guests per show. And here’s the real kicker: for the first time ever, KLFW will be accessible to the public via a large LED screen panel that will livestream all the runway action.

With a mission to elevate the local fashion scene to new heights, KLFW 2024 is breaking new ground by setting the stage for a diverse range of unique styles and artistic visions, from avant-garde creations that challenge conventional norms to innovative hybrid designs that redefine wardrobe staples. What’s more, a few cult-favourite labels will be making their long-awaited debut at KLFW this year—and they’re certainly exciting names that are not to be missed.

Monday, July 29 – Day 1

Day one of KLFW 2024 sees eight shows on the agenda in three segments, opening with up-and-coming designer Uzair Shoid, followed by contemporary streetwear label Milkshake, and womenswear label What To Wear.

The second act leads off with Akudesign’s debut showcase, a Malacca-based streetwear label inspired by graffiti, hip hop, and skateboard cultures. Next comes another debut by Corak, and as its name suggests, they’re all about prints and patterns inspired by art, music, and pop culture. The heat is turned up with designer Andy Bandy, known for his daring and saucy menswear designs.
Later in the evening, day one concludes with The Melium Group, expect to see a medley of looks from brands like MCM, Tod’s, Aigner, and Max Mara on the runway, but not before a showcase from its founder’s eponymous label, Farah Khan.
Tuesday, July 30 – Day 2

For day two, the Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA) will be presenting six local designers from its community in two parts, kicking off with womenswear labels Ashley@Kapas, Styled by Peter Lum, and Atelier Prive Melson.

The afternoon continues with a showcase from MagLifestyle, presented by Laurier before MODA returns for its second showcase from Tangoo, KN By Key Ng, and DoubleU by Jimmy Wong.

Wednesday, July 31 – Day 3

Day three is packed with variety, starting off strong with Zachrin Jaafars, Zero To Ten, and Khatreena to set the tone for the exciting lineup ahead.

With four segments scheduled throughout the day, the second act is one for the streetwear and Y2K fans as Bev C and Water The Plant take the stage, followed by Ghostboy’s much-anticipated debut.

Before heading into the evening, a quick interval from Skechers will be used to present its Uno collection. Next in line comes Arunsayfulldesiree, presented by Poh Kong, to dazzle up the runway. Last on the lineup is none other than Kit Woo, presented by Peugeot to cap off the day with yet another bang.
Thursday, August 1 – Day 4
After an exhilarating first half of the KLFW 2024, day four eases into a more relaxed pace, starting at a later time in the afternoon with a shorter yet equally thrilling lineup. Opening with L’Oréal Paris’ ‘Walk Your Worth’ show, the brand will introduce its Women of Worth on the runway. Although the names have not been revealed, expect to see a diverse ensemble of some of the most inspiring and renowned women from various backgrounds gracing the catwalk.

Moccona takes the 6pm slot, presenting bridal designer Fuzana Mokhtaza’s KLFW debut, followed by Hasz Hishaam and womenswear label 26 Inchi. The evening is rounded off by none other than Alia Bastamam.

Friday, August 2 – Day 5
Day five picks up the pace again with seven shows on the agenda in four segments. First up is Peugeot’s ‘Design to Sustain’ showcase, featuring the fifteen finalists from the KLFW Designer Search 2024 and their creations, inspired by the newly launched Peugeot 408.

The day later continues with BenT, the eponymous label of designer Benjamin Toong, who does avant-garde ready-to-wear and couture for both children and adults. Featured next is streetwear label Dissyco, followed by Atelier Fitton to close out the afternoon.

The evening kicks off on a high note with Magnum, presenting Tact and Shals’ eagerly awaited debut shows along with a surprise to mark the occasion. The final show of the night sees renowned womenswear label Fiziwoo taking the spotlight on the KLFW runway.

Saturday, August 3 – Day 6

With only two days left to go, we’re going full throttle into day six with four shows lined up in the first segment, including Larney’s debut, Laguna Sydney, and Keith Sim, as well as the ‘Fashion Forward Batik Malaysia’ show featuring Kelantan-based batik brand Ruzzgahara.
In partnership with KLFW, Ambank will be stepping up on the runway later in the afternoon to present its artisanal ready-to-wear collection.
