In celebration of UltraLuxe’s 20th anniversary and his own 30 years on Orchard Road, master hairstylist and dedicated collector Kim Robinson stages a one-night-only fashion show built around pieces from Chanel, Dior, Schiaparelli, Versace and more—most of which have never been seen in public
Kim Robinson is best known as one of the region’s best hairstylists. His client list looks like a roll call of 20th-century glamour—Audrey Hepburn, Catherine Deneuve, Princess Grace of Monaco and Diana, Princess of Wales among them. His Singapore flagship at Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road has been a fixture for three decades. What fewer people know is that behind the salons and the accolades, Robinson has spent the better part of five decades quietly building one of fashion’s most extraordinary private archives.
More than 800 couture pieces. Chanel, Saint Laurent, Balmain, Balenciaga, Junya Watanabe, Schiaparelli, Versace, Dior. Most of them never shown in public. Until now.
On October 20, Kim Robinson and UltraLuxe will present The Golden Age on Orchard Road—a fashion show built around Robinson's personal couture archive, alongside the debut of his Haute CoiMure autumn/winter 26 collection. The event is by invitation only, takes place in the heart of Orchard Road, and marks two milestones at once: UltraLuxe’s 20th anniversary on the street, and Robinson’s 30th year there.

UltraLuxe has spent two decades building a reputation as one of Singapore’s most discerning luxury lifestyle platforms, connecting collectors and connoisseurs with exceptional jewellery, watches, fashion and culture. Robinson’s salon has occupied the same street for just as long. Both grew up with Orchard Road, and both have shaped what luxury looks and feels like on it.
The show itself is conceived as theatre. On the runway, Schiaparelli’s surreal daring meets Dior’s refined structure; Versace’s bold glamour sits alongside Junya Watanabe’s avant-garde construction. Each piece has been chosen by Robinson personally, and each carries its own history. This is not a trend presentation or a retail drop. It is a rare opportunity to see museum-worthy couture and world-class jewellery up close, selected by someone who has spent his professional life at the centre of the fashion world.
Robinson’s relationship with haute couture runs deep. Trained in Europe, he worked on major runway shows, contributed to Vogue France and spent more than 20 years as personal assistant to Alexandre de Paris—the master craftsman under whom Robinson honed his pursuit of perfection and craft. The Haute CoiMure autumn/winter 26 collection making its debut at The Golden Age draws directly on that lineage, presenting highly styled hair as its own form of couture craft.
“This collection has been part of my life for many years,” Robinson said. “Each piece holds a memory, a moment and a person. I want people to feel what fashion felt like in its golden age.”
The Golden Age takes place on October 20, 2026. The event is by invitation only.
