Cover These “Tastemakers” are individuals who elevate style in others' lives through their mastery of art, interior design, and jewellery design

Ahead of UltraLuxe, a curated group of leaders from Iconic SG60 share how they infuse artistry and individuality into everyday living, transforming spaces and personal style through exceptional design

In the lead-up to UltraLuxe 2025, a diverse group of leaders from various industries are reflecting on their professional journeys and the values that guide their work.

This October, Orchard Road will host a celebration of passion, purpose, and craftsmanship as UltraLuxe returns as a part of the Grand Prix Season Singapore line-up. Billed as Asia’s only niche luxury festival, UltraLuxe brings together exceptional artistry and innovation under one roof, starting with VerveArté (October 2 to 4) at the Tent@Ngee Ann City.

Designed as an immersive journey through beauty, wellness, style, gastronomy, and more, VerveArté offers guests the chance to connect with tastemakers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries shaping the way we live today. The festival continues with JeweLuxe (October 6 to 12), a showcase of the world’s most coveted gems and jewellery houses.

Marking Singapore’s 60th year, UltraLuxe also unveils its Iconic SG60 curation, spotlighting 60 individuals and businesses whose work has left an indelible impact across diverse fields—from sustainability and fintech to gastronomy, philanthropy, fashion, and beyond. Together, they form a portrait of Singapore’s creative, entrepreneurial, and cultural spirit, while inviting audiences to discover new ideas, experiences, and connections.

Among them are the “Tastemakers”—individuals who elevate style in others' lives through their mastery of art, interior design, and jewellery design. These visionaries are celebrated for their ability to fuse artistic principles with personalised elements, creating unique identities and enriching well-being. They include Min-li Tan, Amanda Toh Steckler, Chiang Yu Lan, Wendy Long, Patty, Simone Ng, Carolyn Kan, Angela Lim, Susanna Yang and Watson Tan.

Beyond their professional titles, what truly defines these individuals are their stories—the projects that have shaped industries, the ventures they are preparing to launch, and the passions that fuel their drive. Below, decked out in gems from selected jewellery brands that will be showcased at UltraLuxe, they open up about the milestones that have marked their journeys, the values that ground them, and the interests that inspire them outside of work.
