First up on the calendar was menswear fall-winter 2025 Fashion Week, held in Milan and Paris earlier this January amidst the flurry of seismic shifts. The season unfolded with a palpable undercurrent of change, marked by the absence of several major players on the schedule such as Gucci, Fendi, JW Anderson, and Loewe, leaving a sense of anticipation hanging in the air.
Despite these absences, the shows that did take place offered more than plenty to unpack. Paris saw the debut of Peter Copping at Lanvin and Willy Chavarria, coupled with a lineup of powerhouses like Louis Vuitton, Dior Homme, Lemaire, and Issey Miyake. Milan’s schedule, whilst compact, still saw longstanding icons like Giorgio Armani, Zegna, and Prada stepping up to offer a masterclass in modern tailoring.
What really stood out this season was the focus on individuality and eclecticism. Designers are moving away from rigid definitions of masculinity and embracing a more dynamic, expressive approach to dressing, redefining what it means to dress a man in a world where identity is fluid, and style is personal. From tailored silhouettes softened with unexpected drapes to the melding of utilitarian outerwear with refined craftsmanship, there was a conscious effort to blur the lines between formal and casual, masculine and feminine, structured and free-flowing. Yet, amidst the experimentation, many collections revisited timeless staples with a fresh lens, breathing new life into classic tropes with new silhouettes and unique plays on texture and colour—blazers with architectural cuts, oversized knits in muted palettes, and trousers that struck the perfect balance between comfort and polish.
Now that we’ve set the scene, let’s take a closer look at the key trends and highlights that defined this season.

Pink has made a notable return to menswear, but this season, it's all about subtlety and sophistication. In contrast to the bold, striking pinks from previous seasons, soft hues of dusty rose, pastels, and powder pinks emerged as the dominant shades on the fall-winter 2025 menswear runways. At Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams incorporated pink in checkered prints, whilst Dior showcased pink hues in sophisticated, refined silhouettes.

Other brands like Emporio Armani, Sacai, Prada, and KidSuper also joined in on the movement, each adding their own spin to the season’s must-have material.

With the increasing demand for functional fashion, it was no surprise that technical outerwear took centre stage for fall-winter 2025. Outdoor-inspired garments like quilted jackets, utilitarian coats, and oversized puffers were everywhere. Both Armani shows featured outdoor-wear segments—Giorgio Armani’s Neve skiwear line returned on the runway with iridescent ski looks, and Emporio Armani geared up for the trails layered up in multicoloured hiking gear.
