Kenzo’s latest spring/summer collection, another stunning result of the brand’s east-meets-west sensibility, finally makes its way to the Philippines
The spotlight is on Kenzo, as the luxury French fashion house with an east-meets-west edge finds its latest spring/summer collection newly available to the eager Filipino market. The store’s only location, housed—and newly re-opened—in Greenbelt 3, welcomed KOLs and media personalities at a launch party held last April 12.
The spring/summer 2024 collection finds its creative vision in artistic director Nigo. Through his leadership, the brand recalls its Japanese roots reared with a Parisian flair. He takes on the Japanese sensibilities of flora and fauna, as items are bedecked in the brand’s emblematic Boke florals and Lucky Tiger motif.

Stylists, socialites, and local entertainment darlings arrived in their favourite pieces from the collection, and DJ Kat de Jesus spun some electronic beats as guests mingled. Notable attendees included David Guison, Chris Nick, Issa Pressman, James Reid, Kiana Valenciano, and Laureen Uy. Reid donned a Seventies-inspired look, opting for a light-washed Canadian tuxedo layered over a monogrammed polo from the ‘Kenzo by Verdy’ collaboration with matching gold-framed, rose-tinted shades.
When asked what draws him to Kenzo, Reid expressed, “I’m a huge fan of Japanese streetwear, and [Kenzo’s mash-up of workwear thrown into the mix is something that really resonates with me.”
Pressman channelled bohemian chic in a vibrant orange floral camo jumpsuit, which paired well with her decision to wear her long hair in a tastefully teased half-updo. Designer Chris Nick sported a blue denim workwear jacket over the brand’s signature kimono, while stylist Laureen Uy wore a rose denim coat, embroidered T-shirt, and pleated short skirt.

The store is dedicated entirely to new pieces from the spring/summer 2024 collection, encapsulated in a space that befits the brand’s youthful but sophisticated aesthetic.
The location also showcases the brand’s first footwear collaboration with Japanese brand ASICS, the Gel-Kayano 20 sneakers, which feature gender-neutral designs.
