The My Love From the Star actress, who is now Burberry’s first female ambassador in Korea, couldn’t be a better match for the fashion brand

Even in an industry where appearances are carefully considered, Jun Ji-Hyun manages to stand out as a beacon of sophistication. It’s only right that the South Korean actress has just been named as the new face of Burberry.

Accompanying the announcement is a campaign where Jun, also known as Gianna Jun to her international fans, was simply herself. Photographed against a pink backdrop, the star exuded elegance in ensembles like a black cashmere turtleneck paired with a wool skirt that emphasised her tall, slender form, or a trench coat embellished with metal hoops—just a little edge to balance the actress’s ladylike look.

Everything Jun wore was courtesy of Burberry, but they could have easily been pieces she picked out herself. The Legend of the Blue Sea star always looks impeccably put together, both on and off screen. Through her outfits, it’s clear that she favours timeless silhouettes and like to keep things classy—not unlike the ideal Burberry woman that has inspired the fashion brand’s designer, Riccardo Tisci. And that makes her only more deserving to be the first-ever South Korean female ambassador for the British house.

“It is a great honour to be announced as Burberry’s ambassador,” said Jun. “Burberry is known as a brand with a rich history and traditions and aims to innovate in line with our ever-changing times, which is what I am trying to convey to the audience as an actor.”

“The timeless elegance of Burberry inspires me greatly, I look forward to working closely with the time-honoured house and carefully collaborating together,” she continued.

We’re looking forward to that collaboration too. For now, enjoy Jun Ji-Hyun’s debut Burberry campaign film, where she shows off the brand’s beloved accessories like the Lola Bag, the TB Bucket Bag (in Burberry’s signature check, no less), and a petite Frances bag.
