Here’s a rundown on the best of style this January 2025
The year has just begun and already our calendars are lined with some of the most highly anticipated fashion events in the region. We begin on a bittersweet note as we said goodbye to it-girl brand Halohalo, which ceased operations after nearly 12 years as a cult-favourite fashion hub. At the same time, we celebrate new beginnings with the announced arrival of international brands like Chloé and Vivaia in the Philippine market, the former soon to make its much-anticipated debut at Greenbelt 4 this July.

Chloé launches its first boutique in the country

It has been announced that French fashion house Chloé will soon open its first boutique in the Philippines, offering the beloved French fashion house’s signature leather goods, shoes, and accessories—debuting with creative director Chemena Kamali’s spring 2025 collection. Designed with calming neutral tones and a mid-century flair, this new retail space will make its new home in Greenbelt 4 this July 2025, neighbouring other favourite luxury haunts.
We say goodbye to Halohalo
After 12 years, lifestyle and fashion hub Halohalo has officially closed its doors. The brand shut down its physical store on January 15 and will end its online operations on January 29.
“It’s time to start a new chapter,” said co-founder Cara Sumabat-Limjap in a statement posted on the brand’s official Instagram page.

Viña Romero’s ‘Palagi’, available exclusively at Rustan’s is a visual exploration of the designer’s own personal journey, building on themes from her previous collection, ‘Oras.’ This deeply intimate project delves into themes of balance and progress, marrying heritage with modernity. Traditional wardrobe staples like the barong take centre stage, reimagined with a contemporary touch.

Vivaia debuts its first store in the Philippines
Sustainable footwear brand Vivaia has launched its first pop-up store in the Philippines. Located in Power Plant Mall, it features iconic staples like the Margot Mary Janes and Addison sling-back hells, favourites among celebrities worldwide. Renowned for their exceptional comfort and eco-conscious approach, Vivaia continues to set the standard for stylish, sustainable footwear.
Top fashion schools present their graduation shows
Local fashion schools, including UP Diliman and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, are spotlighting the next generation of Filipino designers through their graduation shows.
UP Clothing Technology graduates unveiled their final pieces at their show on January 11 at the IBG KAL Theater. Meanwhile, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde’s School of Fashion and Merchandising will showcase its graduates’ collections at Sinulid 2025: Threaded Experience on January 25.
