The official opening of Dior's takeover began with a fun-filled day in the sun, followed by an evening of music and a stunning fireworks display
From June 13 to August 6, 2023, Dior transforms Ember Beach Club on Desaru Coast, Johor into a physical experience of its Dioriviera universe. Malaysia is the first Asian country to experience this pop-up featuring boutiques in life-size sandcastles, beach chairs draped in the brand's latest interpretation iconic Toile de Jouy print, and the highly-anticipated Dior Café curated by local chef Raymond Tham of Beta KL.
Ahead of its launch, Tatler—along with some of Malaysia's most stylish individuals—was invited to experience the Dioriviera pop-up and its official opening party at the luxury resort.

The day began with an exploration of the Dioriviera grounds, including an open-air cinema, pastel-coloured beach houses, and sand sculptures. Guests were given the opportunity to try on their favourite pieces from Maria Grazia Chiuri's summer capsule, and discover lifestyle items, such as sports equipment and home decor.

In the evening, they were invited for the official launch party, where Borneo-born Dayak-European musician Alena Murang performed songs in endangered languages of Kelabit and Kenyah. The spectacular performance was followed by an incredible fireworks display, which lit up the skies and kicked off a night of drinks and dancing.
