Here are the Filipino stars who made their mark at Cannes, honouring decades of iconic red carpet moments

Marina Summers dazzled on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet this year, a historic moment as she became the first Filipino drag queen to walk the prestigious event. Her looks by Mark Bumgarner and Rajo Laurel added new layers to the evolving narrative of Filipino fashion at Cannes. She isn’t the first Filipino to grace the festival. Over the decades, the red carpet has seen a parade of our local filmmakers, actors and media personalities whose sartorial choices were as striking as their contributions to entertainment.

From political statements to classic glamour, here’s a look back at the unforgettable fashion moments Filipinos have brought to Cannes throughout the years.
