Crafted from grained calfskin, adorned with embroidery, the Fauré Le Page Ladies First will take you places

300 years ago, Fauré Le Page was responsible for supplying European royalty and nobility with weapons. Not your run-of-the-mill guns and swords—these were bespoke commissioned pieces of enormous value. Intricately worked ceremonial swords; hunting rifles that drew admiring attention to their wearer. By all accounts, the original Fauré Le Page products were things of beauty.

That much has not changed. These days Fauré Le Page is, of course, better known for handbags than handguns, but the same level of care and artistry is applied to the design and craftsmanship. Enter Armure Leather, an exclusive collection of all-leather bags, impeccably crafted.

The collection is inspired by cuirasses, some of history’s earliest known forms of armour: sturdy leather pieces comprising a breastplate, backpiece and collar, designed to wrap around the body, adapting to the curves of muscle and bone, and protecting the wearer from blows. Accordingly, the Armure Leather collection is thoughtfully, meticulously crafted from exceptional grained calfskin, enhanced with the signature Fauré Le Page Scale pattern and exquisite embroidery crafted in Italy.

Look no further than the Ladies First bag, the first icon from Fauré Le Page to be crafted from Armure Leather. Its armour-inspired design and classically structured shape is boxy but feminine, with lines that are strong but soft. Outside, the bag bears the same recognisable elements: the barrel clasp and frog-style shoulder pad, but now also adorned with the signature scale motif across the grained calfskin. Inside, the Ladies First conceals the same multiple roomy compartments to hold everything a woman could need day-to-day.
