If you’re lusting over unique vintage couture, jewellery, handbags and accessories from the French fashion house designed by Karl Lagerfeld, check out this fabulous Sotheby’s sale which ends on March 24
Karl Lagerfeld’s 36 years at Chanel resulted in some of the most luxurious and iconic designs, but he also took plenty of liberties with playful themes, whether that was making nautical inspired pieces or taking trends such as suits to new places.
Many of his designs from Chanel are still coveted today, and Sotheby’s have worked with with private collectors to host an extensive online sale featuring unique couture items, jewellery, handbags and other accessories. Prices range from US$300-15,000 among the 250 lots, which also includes variations of pieces worn by the famous and fashionable over the years.

For example, Princess Diana sported a blue tweed jacket from Chanel’s ‘Equestrian Style’ spring-summer ready-to-wear 1997 collection that year, and a yellow version is available to purchase. More recently, Kylie Jenner sported a sleeveless black and white spandex crop top from the ‘Micro-Suits’ spring-summer 1995 collection on Instagram, and one with sleeves features in this sale.
For those looking to invest in classic styles, pieces such as the quilted lambskin Duma backpack are on offer, whereas the more adventurous will appreciate the array of kitschy clutches that include a furry pop-art and gold bullion variety. There’s even a carbon fibre surfboard in collaboration with Philippe Barland available for collectors seeking seriously limited-edition objects, so don't miss out if you're seeking something unique.
The online sale ends on March 24, and more details can be found here.
