A highly anticipated collaboration, A Sense of Venus unites Khanidtha Daroonnate of Canitt and fashion icon Kimberley Anne Woltemas in a shared vision beyond personal style.

When timeless beauty is translated into womenswear, it is the first collaboration between Khanidtha Daroonnate Creative Director of the brand Canitt, and actress Kimberly Ann Voltemas, who jointly designed a special collection Canitt x Kimberley as Creative Muse in the collection called 'A Sense of Venus', presenting inspiration from 'Goddess Venus', the representative of love and beauty in Greek mythology, fusing beautiful designs with exquisite tailoring and contemporary design concepts to bring out the strengths and uniqueness of women's figures.

Khanidtha and Kimberly tell a creative story that comes from seeing the common ground of two different women who were able to blend their own unique identities together perfectly, resulting in a collection that is not only beautiful but also meaningful and responsible to the world.

Whose idea was this collaboration and what was the initial conversation or inspiration that brought you two together
Kimberly: Last year, I approached Nitit (Khanitha Darunnet) and asked her if she would be interested in collaborating. I’ve always had a dream of designing clothes, it’s something that’s been in my heart for years, and with our long-standing relationship and mutual respect, it was only natural to make that dream come true with Nitit. I’ve always admired the Canitt brand for its ability to convey both strength and femininity, and I knew that when we worked together, we could create something truly meaningful.

Many brands and celebrities have worked together on collaborations, what makes the Canitt x Kimberley collection different
Khanidtha:
What makes the Canitt x Kimberley collection so special is the perfect fusion of the brand and the muse. It's the perfect balance between Canitt's style and Kimberley's personality, and we also use eco-friendly fabrics because we care as much about the environment as we do about the designs.

What do you want people to know about your personal style, and how did it influence this collection?
Kimberley: I would say my style is a mix of soft and strong, feminine with a sharp edge. I’ve always been drawn to timeless pieces that still have a unique touch, and this specifically influenced the creation of this collection. I wanted everything to feel wearable yet special, like you are wearing ‘confidence’. It genuinely reflects who I am as a person, and also embraces Canitt’s identity and what I like to wear.

Could you tell us about your collaborative process? Who took the lead and what aspects did each of you work on
Khanidtha: In terms of responsibility, Kimberley was very involved in shaping the inspiration and the overall style direction. She also shares what she loves and what reflects her personality.  She also has a hand in fabric selection, the color palette, and even worked on the special patterns designed especially for this collection.

As for me, I mainly focused on the design execution, bringing everything together into a cohesive collection that feels tied and true to our shared vision.

Is there a particular item from the collection that you feel best represents this collaboration
Khanidtha: The highlight is definitely the maci dress, featuring a special pattern exclusively for this collection. It’s also a new silhouette that the brand has never done before at Canitt so, it was both a fun and exciting challenge. This dress really does stand out, from its cut to its pattern and gorgeous fabric, and it exactly captures the essence of this collection.

What are you most proud of or surprised by from working together on this collection
Khanidtha and Kimberley: We’re both incredibly proud of using eco-friendly fabrics in this collection. Environmental responsibility is truly important to both of us, and this is our way of making a positive impact through fashion.

What surprised and delighted us the most was how naturally and effortlessly we were able to work together. We shared a lot of ideas and the design of each piece in the collection truly reflects  both of our personalities. The creative process totally felt very natural and smooth for both of us.
