ICYMI: Malaysian fashion powerhouse Christy Ng marks its Manila debut with a pop-up that celebrates its signature style and craftsmanship
Southeast Asian label Christy Ng has officially landed in the Philippines, marking its arrival with a relaxed pre-launch movie screening that offered a glimpse into the brand’s understated elegance. Founded in 2012, Christy Ng has grown from an online start-up in Malaysia into a regional fashion label celebrated for its customisable, accessible designs. Known for blending craftsmanship with the everyday, the brand continues to empower women to express their individuality through pieces that move with them.
Held last October 2 at the Director’s Club in SM Megamall, the intimate afternoon gathered media, tastemakers and fashion enthusiasts. More than a celebration, it was a reflection of what the brand stands for—bridging the spaces between work and play through thoughtful design and functionality.
Open until October 19 at SM Megamall, the pop-up invites visitors to experience the collection up close—feeling the textures, discovering timeless shapes and finding pieces that suit their own rhythm of style.

Guests were treated to a private screening of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. The film’s exploration of love and personal history mirrored the spirit behind Christy Ng—a story that also began with a leap of faith in a small living room and evolved into a regional fashion label known for its versatile, well-crafted designs.
Adding a personal touch to the afternoon was a meet-and-greet with founder Christy Ng herself. Warm and candid, she shared how the brand took shape from its early days in Malaysia to its expansion across Southeast Asia. Her story—rooted in persistence and creativity—resonated with many in the room, grounding the launch in something real and deeply human.

“The Philippines has always been close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to finally bring Christy Ng here,” said Ng. “Our pieces are designed for women who lead dynamic, multifaceted lives—where a single pair of shoes or a bag can take you from a busy workday to an evening of relaxation without missing a beat. This launch marks an exciting new chapter in our journey, and I’m so grateful to share it with Filipinas who understand and appreciate the blend of function and flair.”
