Fashion house Pucci is onboarding Camille Miceli, their first female artistic director, to stand at the helm of creative direction

It was confirmed yesterday that Camille Miceli will be Pucci’s new artistic director, which was first hinted in August. The brand has been operating without one since 2017, but Pucci seems to be taking a new direction and Miceli’s appointment will be a welcome one.

“She will begin a new chapter in the history of this maison, which has a rich and unique heritage,” says Sidney Toledano, chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group, who travelled to Milan to introduce her personally.

Miceli expressed her excitement to join Pucci, saying, “I look forward to celebrating its art of living and the joy that emanates from it.” The house is known for its colourful silks and playful prints, both of which Miceli has extensive knowledge and shown interest in developing.

The Italian and French designer has a wealth of experience from 30 years in luxury and fashion. She just left Louis Vuitton, where she held the position of accessories creative director since 2014. Prior to that, she was at Christian Dior Couture, where she was the creative director for fashion jewellery and creative consultant for leather goods.
