Parisian fashion house Casablanca puts a playful, sporty spin on the Bulgari Serpenti motif, in a capsule collection that evokes the effortless elegance of summer in the Mediterranean
Game, set, match. Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti motif meets sport in a capsule collection produced in collaboration with Casablanca, the Parisian house that has made its unique mark on the luxury fashion circuit for its tropical, athleisure-inspired designs.
The collection is part of the Italian brand’s ongoing collaborative series, Serpenti Through the Eyes Of, which, since 2017, has brought to life various incarnations of the Bulgari snake as imagined by talented designers from around the world.
Casablanca’s interpretation of the emblematic Serpenti sees a playful spin on classic on-court style and Mediterranean motifs. Marked by an elegant mix of white perforated calf leather, bold green accents, colourful prints, gold hardware and wood handles, the mesmerising collection is reminiscent of the days when sport and sophistication went hand in hand, and when a friendly match on a sun-drenched court was always followed by leisurely cocktails at a leafy palazzo courtyard.
“With Bulgari, we share the same love and respect for timeless codes and the ambition to interpret them in new ways: this is the prism we have played with in this collaboration,” says Charaf Tajer, the French Moroccan creative director and founder of Casablanca. “The collection is both modern and classic at the same time. Serpenti has a 1,000-year-old iconography behind it and we wanted to bring it back once more but in a modern way, playing with its aesthetic features.”
