From a grey suit at Paris Fashion Week to couture stage wear at Stade de France, here is how Jimin has made Dior’s codes his own since 2023.
Jimin’s partnership with Dior has brought a sharper edge to the house’s codes of elegance, pairing its polished tailoring with sheer layers, bare-chested styling and military-inspired couture. Since becoming the French fashion house’s global ambassador in January 2023, the BTS star has worn Dior across red carpets, performances and campaigns, moving between Kim Jones’s sportswear-inflected tailoring and Jonathan Anderson’s more literary, historical sensibility.
Here are seven of Jimin’s most memorable Dior ensembles, exploring the pieces, styling and creative details that define his relationship with the house.

How did Jimin become Dior’s global ambassador?
Dior announced Jimin as its global ambassador in January 2023, framing the partnership as a continuation of a bond formed in 2019, when Kim Jones designed stage looks for BTS. The appointment came as European luxury houses looked to tap into the global popularity of K-pop stars. Since then, the creative conversation has moved from Jones to Anderson, who made his Dior Men debut in June 2025 and presented his first womenswear collection that October, with Jimin moving between both eras with ease.
Jimin’s embroidered Dior velvet coat: courtier detail meets everyday denim

At Dior Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 show in June 2026, held at the Musée Nissim de Camondo in Paris, Jimin wore a navy velvet coat embroidered across the chest and cuffs with silver-and-gold scrollwork. Dior described the collection as an exploration of “sampling and remixing”, and the coat is a case in point: historical ornament, reworked for now.
Jimin undercut the ceremonial embroidery with a green-and-black check shirt worn open at the collar, a delicate gold pendant and light-blue jeans. The result is period costume made wearable, proof that heritage detail can sit comfortably beside everyday denim.
Jimin’s Dior open-knit cardigan: fringe and distressing at the Arirang Paris concerts
At the Paris stop of the Arirang world tour in July 2026, Jimin changed through several Dior looks. Among them was an ivory cardigan in a chunky open knit, its hem and cuffs trailing long fringe and its shoulders and sleeves deliberately worn through with holes. The distressing reads as intentional rather than accidental, giving the piece the feel of a much-loved heirloom.
Underneath, a white tank top and layered silver chains with medallion pendants keep the base clean, while wide-leg, dark-blue jeans ripped at the knee pull the look toward skate and street. It is haute knitwear worn the relaxed way: tactile, comfortable and easy to move in.
Jimin’s Napoleonic Dior coat: couture stage armour at Stade de France
For the Stade de France Arirang shows, where 92,000 fans filled the stadium each night, Dior dressed Jimin in custom looks, among them a Napoleonic-inspired ensemble. A long black coat opened over a frogged jacket with brass buttons and silver-and-black embroidered closures, while a sash with a beaded fringe hem drew a line of movement down the front.
Black leather trousers, long leather gloves and buckled black boots turn the historical reference into rock costume, tough enough to hold its own at stadium scale. The military detail is worn with attitude rather than reverence.

Jimin’s bare-chested Dior blazer: reinterpreting evening tailoring

In October 2025, Jimin made his first major public appearance since completing military service in June, at Jonathan Anderson’s debut Dior womenswear show in the Tuileries Garden. His choice was a black blazer with glossy lapels, worn open with no shirt and layered fine chains. At a show staged under the weight of Dior’s 1947 New Look history, the sharply cut jacket felt like a dialogue with the house’s tailoring past, stripped back to its essentials.
Wide-leg black leather trousers and chunky-soled lace-ups added weight and shine at the hem, while rings and blonde hair completed the rock-leaning finish. The styling logic is contrast: sharp tailoring with glossy lapels on top, fluid leather below and no shirt in between, which turns a black-tie formula into something looser and more modern.
Jimin’s Dior field jacket: sportswear meets ethereal fluidity
Dior introduced Jimin to the world with a sportswear-inspired look from its Summer 2023 collection, which the house said channelled Monsieur Dior’s passion for the outdoors. The seafoam hooded jacket is cut from translucent mesh and finished with flap chest pockets, worn open over bare skin. The utility details give it a field-jacket pedigree, while the transparency adds a lightness that feels closer to air than outerwear.
Pleated olive trousers and strapped olive field boots ground the look, and a chunky beaded necklace and hoop earrings add the jewellery. Soft against tough, sheer against solid, it was an early statement of the utilitarian-meets-delicate balance that runs through Jimin’s Dior wardrobe.
Jimin’s grey Dior suit: relaxed tailoring meets technical boots

For his first appearance as ambassador, at Dior Homme’s Fall/Winter 2023–2024 show in January 2023, Jimin chose easy confidence. The BTS star wore a grey single-breasted suit over a soft cashmere turtleneck, an almost monochrome palette that recalls Dior grey, the shade long associated with Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville. Easy, tapered trousers kept the line fluid.
The twist came at the ankle. Instead of polished dress shoes, Jimin wore stone-coloured lace-up boots with a chunky sole and white webbing laces, a utilitarian counterpoint that kept the tailoring relaxed. It was an early lesson in the ambassador’s appeal: formality, softened.
Jimin’s Dior Book Tote look: minimalist black tailoring and the ‘Les Fleurs du mal’ bag
The Book Covers collection, introduced with Anderson’s first menswear season and in Dior boutiques since January 2026, turns the house’s signature tote into a reading list. In a post shared on his Instagram, Jimin kept the tailoring deliberately quiet: a long black coat, a black V-neck knit over a white tee, tapered black trousers and black pointed-toe boots. The monochrome works as a frame, leaving the bag to speak.
Beside him sits the blue Book Tote embroidered with the cover of Charles Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du mal, based on the 1857 first edition and finished with a decorative border and the Dior name, with a yellow-and-silver charm hanging from the handle. The bag trades logo-led luxury for literary curation, and the understated black tailoring lets the reference do the talking.
