Red carpet regulars and fashion rule breakers

Across the region, beloved stars of music, television and film bring their signature flair. Hong Kong’s original supermodel Qiqi Yam has turned her eye for fashion into designing jewellery as striking as her runway looks. Taiwanese leading man Chin Han continues to embody elegance onscreen and off. In Singapore, singer Shazza pairs her soulful sound with an equally distinctive wardrobe. The Philippines’ Max Collins moves seamlessly between high-octane glamour and relaxed weekend chic, while Indonesian actor Ferry Salim proves that dapper dressing is second nature.

Then there are those who use every outfit with deep intention, each look signalling something intrinsic to their personality. Filipino social media star Lolo Drip proves at 70 that fashion has no age limit. Taiwanese tattoo artist Wendy Wu blends art and apparel with ease. Indonesian model Megasari Dhali commands attention with striking silhouettes. Filipino photographer BJ Pascual channels creative energy into every look, and Malaysian icon Nazreem Musa—known for fearless androgyny, globe-trotting pursuits and an arsenal of Rick Owens—continues to inspire audiences worldwide.

Style as self-authorship

We’re reminded once again this year that beyond the noise of labels, trends and ever-diminishing season cycles, the style that stays true is always deeply personal. Great personal style connects us to each other and to ourselves.
