Tessera Jewellery has launched its pop-up store just in time for the holidays! Read on to learn more about their IGI-certified diamonds

You can now get a hold of IGI-certified diamonds when you visit Tessara Jewelry’s latest holiday pop-up store in Greenbelt 5.

IGI, which stands for International Gemological Institute, was founded in Antwerp, Belgium—a major centre for the global diamond trade. IGI was established to provide independent and unbiased certification for diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery. At the time, there were few other gemological laboratories, most of which were affiliated with specific trade organisations. IGI was one of the first laboratories to be genuinely independent, and it quickly became known for its high standards and commitment to accuracy and transparency.

Today, IGI is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious gemological laboratories, known for its rigorous grading standards and accurate diamond certification. It has 18 laboratory locations and 14 schools of gemology around the globe, and jewellery retailers and consumers accept its certificates in over 200 countries. Certification is paramount in the diamond industry, as it provides a seal of authenticity and guarantees the provenance and quality of each natural diamond.

  • Carat weight - the weight of the diamond.

  • Colour grade - which is usually from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow or brown.

  • Cut - the proportions, symmetry, and polish that can impact a piece’s brilliance.

  • Polish and Symmetry - the quality of the diamond’s surface.
