Inside an evening of summer wreaths, canapes and champagne inside Diptyque’s newest Singapore address
Diptyque’s new Marina Bay Sands boutique lands somewhere between a Parisian collector’s apartment and a cabinet of curiosities—Haussmann-style mouldings and alcoves set against local craftsmanship and cherry wood, a travertine floor, a monumental mural, and an iconic green facade that announces itself well before you reach the door.
Tatler Singapore’s senior digital and branded content editor Andrea Saadan began the intimate gathering with a welcome speech at the boutique, bringing together a select group of guests for an evening that moved at precisely the right pace. Eileen Ko, Brand Trainer at Escentials Singapore, opened proceedings before guests were invited to explore the space.
And explore they did—beginning at the cluster of pale-blue animation tables near the entrance, moving along the ladder-like vertical oak bookshelf showcasing the home and décor collections, lingering at the built-in alcoves housing the herbarium and candle collection, and eventually arriving at the fragrance counter, which unfurls beneath a monumental wall drawing with the Essences de Diptyque collection displayed in a wooden cabinet alongside it.

At the rear, the Art of Body Care area offers a change of register entirely—metallic-finish walls, a stone basin, a locally sourced armchair—intimate enough to feel like a room within a room. Champagne and canapés from Paul's circulated throughout.

The evening’s centrepiece was a summer wreath workshop—guests composing their own botanically scented creations to take home, a keepsake that extended the Diptyque sensibility into something personal and tactile. Diptyque has always understood that scent is inseparable from memory and space; asking guests to make something with their hands, in a room built to delight the senses, made that point more elegantly than any presentation could. Champagne and canapés kept the mood easy throughout.

This is a space built for discovery rather than transaction—which is, of course, the condition under which the best purchases are made.
