This year, La Prairie scientists have collaborated with a Swiss bioanalytical laboratory to develop innovative and never-before-seen test protocols in an under-addressed area—the skin ligaments. After successfully identifying and quantifying the components of skin ligaments, scientists managed to determine their correlation to a healthy, youthful complexion.
Skin ligaments, according to their studies, are structural units that form a flexible, strong network throughout the hypodermis. This hypodermis is essential to the structural ability of the skin and is what keeps it taut and supple.
