Inspired by the elegance of masquerade balls, the Dior Holiday Look 2024 collection, designed in collaboration with Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, presents limited‑edition festive iterations of cult products draped in luxurious gold
Drawing from the lavish masquerades beloved by brand founder Christian Dior himself, the French house of Dior conjures a dreamlike reverie for the festive season with its Holiday Look 2024 collection. Curated by Peter Philips, the creative and image director for Dior Makeup, it is an homage to the boldness and charm of yesteryear’s grandest celebrations.
For the third year running, Dior tapped Italian artist Pietro Ruffo to design for its holiday makeup collection. And as befitting both the season and the inspiration behind the 2024 collection, Ruffo has dreamt up royal‑looking motifs, rendered in regal gold against a white background on all the packaging and select cases, and even embossed on the product itself.

Speaking of colours, matching the luxuriousness of the dazzling gold that dresses all the products is the rich palette of the limited‑edition collection itself. Think deep ruby reds, sumptuous burgundies, glittery pinks, iridescent metallics and more that make for a range of opulent looks fit for the belle of the ball.
Because nothing captures the spirit of a grand soirée like a statement lip, Dior has included in its Holiday Look 2024 collection three of its most loved lipsticks. First, the high‑bling and cult favourite Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Sequin. A long‑wearing and transfer‑resistant liquid lipstick that wears ultra comfortably, it comes dressed for the occasion with a gilded cap and is offered in ten colours such as 999, the iconic Dior red; 100 Dreams, a beautiful nude; and 903 Stars, a deep purple black with silver glitter. Simply apply like a regular lipstick and allow it to dry before pressing your lips together for a spectacularly shimmery finish.

Then there is the beloved Dior Addict, which gives high‑shine, intense colour payoff, and is enriched with hydrating jasmine floral wax to keep that pout soft and supple. It is offered in two wearable exclusive hues: the pink orange 324 Festive Coral and the purple taupe 704 Divine Plum. Dior also unveils a new Dior Addict case option in Grand Bal, an elegant gold‑and‑white design conceived by Ruffo.
The last lip offering is the reliable Rouge Dior, now boasting an entirely golden case. The makeover extends to the bullet encased within, which comes engraved with a regally styled motif designed by Ruffo, in the midst of which sits a couture band, featuring the “Christian Dior” signature, that goes around the body. Both the satin and velvet finishes—there are two colour options each, including an intense satin plum (994 Masquerade) and a velvety rosewood (284 Rose Bavarde)—wear lovely, with the formula delivering lip care too, thanks to the infusion of moisturising flower extracts which leave lips plump and comfortable.

For the eyes, there is the Diorshow 5 Couleurs palette and Diorshow Stylo eyeliners. The palette comes dressed in lavish gold and is available in two colourways: 643 Golden Masquerade, featuring a luminous nude‑gold, glittery tones of peach and pink, and a matte burgundy; and 863 Soir de Bal, comprising a metallic silver, a pearlescent pink, a subtle grey mauve and a sensual taupe brown. The eyeliners are offered in complementary new hues: 656 Pearly Ruby, a deep and rich shimmery red that pairs beautifully with the hues in Golden Masquerade; and 796 Pearly Amethyst, an iridescent purple that synergises with the shades in Soir de Bal.

The former, a refillable cushion foundation with a hydrating formula infused with floral skincare ingredients, offers both luminous matte and radiant glow finishes that are perfect for the season.

Finish the look with the latter, a powder highlighter that also delivers hydrating benefits thanks to the pansy extract in it, and you are all set to shine. It is available in two new shimmery hues: 001 Or Lumière, offers a sun‑kissed glow on skin; and 002 Corail Lumière, which wears like a metallic pink. Both products boast cases adorned with Ruffo’s illustration, which is also embossed on the powder highlighter.
Rounding things out is the Dior Vernis nail lacquer. In the spirit of the season, it bears a golden cap, and comes in a pearlescent deep pink (641 Soir de Bal) and a glittery golden (114 Lumière) that can be worn on top of it to up the sparkle or on its own.
