The third iteration of the Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery Conference and Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur promises to be a transformative experience, uniting global leaders in aesthetic medicine, dermatology, and surgery

This September, Kuala Lumpur is set to welcome the return of the Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery Conference and Exhibition (AMSC), Southeast Asia’s premier event in aesthetic medicine and surgery, jointly organised by The Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine (MSAM) and Deltus.

Taking place on September 20 to 21 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the third edition of AMSC will revolve around the theme, “Uniting Global Leaders in Aesthetic Medicine, Dermatology, and Surgery,” gathering the brightest minds and most skilled hands in the field for an enlightening two-day journey of insightful discovery, innovation, and invaluable networking opportunities.

The conference will begin with an elegant opening ceremony and cocktail reception, offering the perfect setting to connect with peers and experts. Then, on the second day, AMSC 2024 will culminate in a glamorous gala night, themed “Bold & Beautiful,” at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, celebrating the success and connections forged during this landmark event.

A league of over 1,000 delegates will be gathered at AMSC 2024, including highly acclaimed aesthetic professionals from various parts of the globe. With 150 esteemed speakers set to grace the conference, such as Dr Tingsong Lim, aesthetic physician (Malaysia), Dr. Davin Lim, dermatologist (Australia), Dr. Jani Van Loghem, aesthetic physician (Netherlands), Dr Arash Jalali, aesthetic physician (Canada), Dr Farid Kazem, plastic surgeon (Netherlands), Dr Hosung Choi, cosmetic surgeon (South Korea), Dr Inneke Jane Hidajat, dermatologist (Indonesia), Dr Kian Tjon Tan, plastic surgeon (UK), and Prof. Cui Hai Yan, plastic and cosmetic Surgeon (China) among others, attendees will have access to the forefront of aesthetic medicine and dermatology, ensuring a rich and diverse learning experience.

Before the main conference, attendees will have the unique opportunity to hone their surgical skills through a Cadaver Dissection Hands-On Masterclass on September 19, hosted at the Advanced Surgical Skills Centre (ASSC) at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM.

Guided by a distinguished lineup of global experts, this educational hands-on experience will immerse participants in the intricacies of facial anatomy, allowing them to enhance their injection techniques and enrich their knowledge of facial structures to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Amongst the trainers are Dr Konstantin Frank from Spain, an internationally acclaimed expert in facial plastic anatomy with over 170 peer-reviewed publications, and Dr Rami Haidar, a renowned maxillofacial surgeon from the UAE and a member of The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Other notable speakers include Dr Benrita Jitaree from Thailand, whose research in facial anatomy for aesthetics and dermatology has made her a respected figure in the field, as well as Dr Luciano Lanfranchi, a board-certified plastic surgeon from Italy and a member of the American and European Plastic Surgery Associations.

As AMSC 2024 unfolds over two action-packed days, delegates can look forward to a comprehensive agenda that will cover a broad spectrum of trending topics and the latest advancements in the industry, with sessions ranging from anatomy updates and innovative injectology techniques to cutting-edge developments in cosmeceuticals.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and refine their skills in areas such as the art and science of rhinoplasty, regenerative aesthetics, thread lifting and suturing, effective acne treatments, scars and wound healing, and melasma management. In addition to the scientific and clinical discussions, more than 150 brands will showcase the latest innovations in aesthetic medicine on the exhibition floor, where delegates can explore new technologies and products that could enhance their practice.

Additionally, for those passionate about the aesthetic medicine industry, a non-clinical business management talk will be held during the conference, providing essential insights on maximising clinic potential, effective staff training, patient management, expansion strategies, and the fundamentals of establishing a successful clinic.

Following the conference, a post-conference ultrasound anatomy workshop will take place on September 22 at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. Led by Dr Peter Velthuis, this workshop will focus on ultrasound-guided injection techniques, enhancing participants’ ability to interpret ultrasound images and identify key anatomical structures, as well as filler materials within the facial anatomy.
